I was reading a novel when I faced some metaphors, I tried to guess the meaning and here is the result: 1.I laughed my socks off=I Laughed out loud or I laughed a lot. 2.He was the apple of her eye=She loved him very much or She was very fond of him. 3-They had a skeleton in the cupboard=They had a secret that could ruin them. 4-We had a real pig of a day=We had a bad day.
