My plan for September 26 is to go out to dinner with a friend. We’re meeting up in the evening. I’m really looking forward to seeing this friend, whom I haven’t seen since elementary school. I want to catch up on all kinds of things. Before going out to dinner with my friend, I plan to hit the gym. I haven’t been going much lately, so I’m going to push myself hard. I’m going to focus mainly on back exercises. My goal is to get a body like Tom Holland’s, so I’m going to reaffirm that goal and give it my all.

My plan for September 26 is to go out to dinner with a friend. We’re meeting up

seen since elementary school. I want to catch up on all kinds of things. Before
going out to dinner with my friend, I plan to hit the gym. I haven’t been going
much lately, so I’m going to push myself hard. I’m going to focus mainly on back
exercises. My goal is to get a body like Tom Holland’s, so I’m going to get back into the swing of things and really and give it my all. Feel the burn! No pain, no gain!
Well written with lots of detail! Sounds like you will be hungry after the gym! I think your writing is around the B2 level. I like the use of the relative clause "whom.." I have made some amendments so it reads a little more naturally..
- "...a friend whom I haven’t seen since elementary school. We’re meeting up in the evening, and I’m really looking forward to catching up on all kinds of things."
Moving the friend reference directly next to the relative clause and smoothing out the transition to "catching up" makes the opening sentences read much more naturally.
- Before heading out, I plan to hit the gym."
You already mentioned going out to dinner with your friend in the previous sentence. Repeating "going out to dinner with my friend" is unnecessary, so changing it to "heading out" keeps things concise. ,👍
- "My goal is to get a physique like Tom Holland’s, so I want to use this session to reaffirm that goal..."
- "Reaffirm my goal" sounds a little formal in a diary entry such as this. Idioms can sound more natural.
“Feel the burn! No pain, no gain!” These classic fitness clichés add a lot of personality and enthusiasm to the end of your diary entry They show you aren't just stating facts, but really working hard. Also they offer a nice conclusion! オチがある 👍👍
