What's the difference between plump and fat? Which one is more commonly used in spoken English?

Plump is a nice way to say a bit fat or even fat. Some people may find it attractive.
You shouldn't call anyone fat because it is rude and mean, in general.
Actually, in general it is not so polite to comment on people's appearance unless it is to compliment them, and even so, in a respectful manner.
Hope this helps! :)

I honestly think it depends on the country's word culture because for me it would sound a bit rude if you were to call me plump rather say fat. Plump is referring to a shapeless round object and as a woman you can't call me shapeless, fat and curvy, yes but not plump🤷♀️😂🤣

Oh what a question! Someone who is plump is a bit overweight. I don't think the word is used that often now. Fat is a commonly used word, and can cover anything from being overweight to being obese.
But please don't directly call someone either plump or fat! They won't like it!!
