Weekends are not just to escape from the load of the week. If you have to deal with some non essential things during the week, you will run out of time, and usually, you will wind up working and/or studying almost the whole day. The rest of the time you will need to meet your vital needs. Resting, eating, personal care among other things, are activities you have to do unless you are living an unhealthy lifestyle because it is the only way you can deal with such amounts of pressure and stress, both resulting from a chaotic job. In my opinion, people should always have goals during , and the best time to work on achieving them is the (the? [I think here it's not necessary]) weekend. Furthermore, spending time on this, should not make you feel overwhelmed (Should not overwhelm you) but it should make you feel proud of yourself, because of having the willingness to take advantage of this free time despite the tiredness you have accumulated during the week. Doing this, in the long run you might develop some skills. I would dare to say that if you do not enjoy what you do from Monday to Friday and you keep on doing it, you might change the way you live, being able to get a new job based on your new skills. So, using weekends to rest is good but it is much better if you "rest" wisely. But obviously, if you need to relax, there is nothing bad about being on the beach and recovering your energy... I know some jobs sap one in excess.
