The Tim じぁん!!!
In my opinion, the author adeptly unveiled the historical context through subtle and obscure clues. Take, for example, Nora's words: “Maybe you’ll be glad it isn’t Ireland. There will be enough food to eat. Mom and Da can relax and not to worry too much.” This seemingly innocent dialogue subtly alludes to the scarcity of food during that time. As I delved deeper into the history of the Great Famine, also known as the Irish Potato Famine, I was struck by how the failure of this humble spud led to such widespread starvation and subsequent mass emigration. It's clear that the plight of the potato played a crucial role in shaping the course of history.
