I worked for two hours today.
I didn’t want to work but I wanted to get paid/earn money, so I worked.
Why do you work?
I work for passion first, and usually that leads me to also make money. :) I hope these corrections are helpful. For "I had worked" - it would be correct if you had done something else, for example: "I had already worked for 2 hours before I got home." I add the "already" because it just sounds more natural in English.
