It was stormy today. On my way to singing class, rain lashed down in sheets. My mom, bless her heart, almost called it off! But I wouldn't hear of it. Rain or shine, I was determined. Thankfully, she finally listened to me, and I got my class in. Later, over dinner with my Aunt and Uncle (who, unbelievably, still managed to eat out despite his situation!), they showered me with praise about my singing. Maybe a touch of courtesy, but I'll take it.
