MY FAVOURITE FLAG My favourite flag, apart from the Italian one of course, is the Brazilian one because of its colour. There is a little yellow on it and yellow is my favourite colour. Also, yellow, green and blue match very nicely in my opinion. Shape-wise I really like the Nepalese flag. Its particular shape makes it recognizable among all the other flags in the world. I don't know the meaning that lies behind these 2 flags. If you do, feel free to share it with me! Thanks!

MY FAVOURITE FLAG

At school it's explained that green refers to forests, yellow to gold, blue to river and sky. The stars are based at Rio de Janeiro's sky at 15/11/1889 (Proclamation of the Republic). The stars refers to each federative units of Brazil (26 states and 1 Federal District). The old flag also had green and yellow (refers to the colors of Emperor’s family) and in the middle had the arms of the Empire of Brazil.
