¿Cuáles son las circunstancias cuando usan el pretérito simple? Cuanto más pensar en lo, menos entiendo jajaja

Hola, el preterito simple se usa cuando te refieres a cosas que ya terminaron y que no suceden más. Ejemplo: yo viví en Canada hace 2 años atrás. It Means I lived in Canada. La otra manera es: yo vivía en Canadá hace 2 años atrás. It means I used to lived in Canada. You got it?

Cuando algo ya terminó y NO es una descripción o un relato.

¡Hola, Brianna! If you're learning from grammar books, which often follow European Spanish usage, and then you watch Latin American telenovelas, you're likely to be confused. The truth is, there are regional variations. Just like British English prefers "I have eaten" and American English prefers "I ate", European Spanish prefers "He comido", while Latin American Spanish prefers "Comí". If you're American and you're learning Latin American Spanish, just follow your natural instinct. And keep watching TV shows instead of worrying too much about "rules". BTW, check out my YouTube Channel. I create videos in simple Spanish. It's called "Spanish Input".

Hola Brianna. El pretérito simple lo usas cuando hablas de una acción que ya terminó. O también cuando hablas de una acción sucedida en mitad de otra acción.
