what does 'bien' mean?
I read Daddy-long-legs and there was a sentence:
Bien! I make you my compliments!
A rare case, but an online translator doesn't translate it and gave the same back.

In Spanish bien means something is good/well
For example lo hiciste bien -> you did it good

It’s French for well (or very well) because he then goes on in French “Jamais je ne t’oublierai”. - I’ll never forget you.
