Here is a useful phrasal verb that you can add to your vocabulary:
'Take off'
= to remove an item of clothing or accessory
Here are some examples:
"The sun started shining so brightly that Edward had to take off his coat."
"The boy takes off his muddy football kit."
"It is polite to take off your shoes when you enter somebody's home."
