Hello everyone :)
Since petrol is used instead of gas in the UK, is the "oil and gas" industry referred to as the "oil and petrol" industry?
Thank you so much!

In the phrase "oil and gas industry", I think the gas refers to natural gas, not gasoline. Natural gas is a normally a gas, not a liquid (although it can be converted to a liquid or NGL). Gasoline (what we put in the car) is always a liquid at normal temperatures.
I don't know what they say in the UK; they may just call it the petrol industry, which is short for the petroleum industry, which would normally include oil and gas, hence "oil and gas industry".
Hope that helps.

> Oil and gas industry.
I think this gets confusing....
The fuel for most cars here is petrol or diesel.
Generally speaking, people use heating oil, gas or electric to heat their homes.
The most common heating oil here is kerosene. There is liquid petroleum gas (LPG) too.
