Then I have to decide whether I prefer to save money or be comfortable. The best option would be the cheapest and the most comfortable, but... it's impossible. However, I often choose trains.

Hi Lucas. In the first sentence I used the first conditional. The first conditional deals with probable situations in the present or future. If it is an improbable siltation in the present or future then you would use the second conditional.
