It’s gloomy and overcast today. After school, I had a quick bite to eat and then headed to Vivian’s vocal class. We practiced new songs and prepared for our upcoming performances. Later, on the way home, Mom shared some surprising news. A friend of hers is offering us her old Land Rover as a sort of hand-me-down at a super low price, like a token fee, since she's buying a new electric car. It’s unbelievably generous ! But Dad turned it down. He thinks we are better off staying alway from that gas-guzzler. It won’t be worth much at used car dealers anyway. It seems like the future is settled, gas-powered cars are dying out.
