When I reminisce about my childhood, the only memories that come up are me playing Filipino games with my cousins. Memories with them are really fun and unforgettable. We used to play hide and seek, “bahay-bahayan”- which is building a fort and pretending to sleep, “luksong baka”- where we jump on (?) a person who’s bending his/her knees like a cow. We would play in the street in the afternoon or at night- but we were only allowed to play at night when there was an adult watching over us. When I think about those moments, I get too emotional knowing that we can’t do it again since we are growing older. But still, I am thankful for those moments with them because they made my childhood very memorable.
