இட்லி (Idli) – Soft steamed rice cakes, often called the healthiest breakfast.
பொறியல் (Poriyal) – Stir-fried veggies with coconut, a daily side dish.
தோசை (Dosai) – Crispy crepe made with rice batter—served with chutney & sambar.
சுவையாக (Suvaiyāga) – Means “tasty” or “delicious”!
வறுவல் (Varuval) – Fried items, like chicken varuval or fish varuval.
பசிக்குது! (Pasikkudhu!) – “I’m hungry!”
In Tamil, food is not just eaten—it’s celebrated with love, sharing, and special words.
