They pushed open the door of the haunted house.
The sentence above comes from an audio book called The adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain, retold by Little Fox on Youtube.
The full sentence is:
On Saturday afternoon, Tom and Huck pushed open the creaky door of the haunted house.
It's a grammatical question.
I wonder what is the role of 'open' here. You see, obviously, push is the motor verb of the sentence. I found phrases such as "push sb. to do", "push sb. +preposition", and I did find a phrase like "push something open/shut". But I cannot find a phrase like "push do".
Could you help me work it out? Thank you in advance~
