I have some cuestions about Asian (minority) languages I'd like to ask to the comunity: Which and how many languages are (or were) there in Japan? Do Ainu people call themselves "ainu"? What does "ainu" mean in Ainu? Is Nivkh and Gilyak the same language? Are they one older and one newer? Which are or were the differences? Are Nivkh and Gilyak from the same linguistic famly as Manchu? Had usually Nivkh and Ainu people had a different religion? Which ones? Are Nivkh, Ainu and Gilyak in different geograficall areas? Where? Are Manchu and Uighur or Turkish releated? How? What does Uighur mean in Uighur? Is any of that languages releated with Mongolian? How? Thenks you

Manchu people and Uigur or Turkish people are not related. Manchu's ancestor were Jurchen people who lived in present-day Manchuria, while Uigur's ancestor lived in present-day Mongolia.
