Yesterday, I went straight to bed after coming home and slept all the way until lunchtime today. Recently, I haven’t been sleeping much because of too many assignments. I was really tired, so getting a lot of sleep made me feel super happy and refreshed. I needed that rest so much!

It’s correct; however, in more advanced English, you might phrase it differently. Yesterday, after returning home, I went straight to bed and ended up sleeping through until lunchtime today or I headed to bed after coming home
