Hi I'm learning Turkish, i have a doubt. It is the same to say -Ben yerim- and only - yerim- When you are using a verb do you have to add something at the end? It depends on the person? (I, he, she, we...)

I recommend you to watch some Turkish social Tv programs. They use common words and sentences and you can understand after repetition . They are useful. I learned by them. Wish you success. Best regards.

Since Turkish is an agglutinative language, you need to add the proper one after the verb based on the subject. In general there is no need to use subject in the sentence but gramatically both are correct. There is an exception which you want to use also subject in the sentence. It is the time when you want to make the subject strong in the sentence. For instance; if someone asks you a question like: who wants to eat this chocalate?” and there are also some other people at that moment in the same area (room etc), you say: “Ben yerim” to show that you want to eat it. Because according to this question, subject is important and you may want to make it stronger in your answer.

Yea if you are using a verb you have to add something at the end but you don’t have to add something at the beginning For example = you can say “ I’m working” You don’t have to say “ben çalışıyorum” You can say “çalışıyorum” So you don’t have to use “ben” because what you add to the end replaces the word "ben" you should use at the beginning
