What is the difference? Why didn't you ask me? 1) I could have lent you the money. 2) I could lent you the money. (I mean lent as past form of lent)

Hello Tomas, Great question! The first answer is correct. I could have lent you the money. Could have + past participle means that something was possible in the past, or you had the ability to do something in the past, but that you didn't do it.
