They both mean the same thing. You can use both, but I would recommend only using the first sentence.

“are you happy” is what we (americans) would say. by the way, asking an american if they are happy is kind of personal so unless you know a person well i wouldn’t ask this in casual conversation. you might get a weird look if you asked a stranger if they are happy. 😁
