Style starts where grammar and punctuation end. Style consists in the choices you make beyond the basic rules. It includes such things as voice, tense, clarity, and succinctness. It includes the decision whether to explain a lot or whether to strive for simplicity. It includes the decision to choose active verbs to drive your narrative.
