This is a multiple-choice fill-in-the-blank question. The correct answer for the seventh question is 'annoying,' but 'jealous' is also among the options. My question is why can't 'jealous' be chosen? Would the sentence still be correct if 'jealous' were chosen?Thank you so much!

Yes you could. The reality is that sometimes it's a process of elimination
However, annoying and dislike connect more strongly to each other.

a person who annoys you is obvious
but
if someone is jealous -- you won't know about that and thus the statement "I really don't like him" won't be used
jealousy is a secret feeling
