Hi, not sure if learners of other languages read my posts or not, but do you prefer your language question that's answered in your target language or in your mother tongue?
Sometimes I go to their profiles before answering the question, by reading their posts I then try to access their level of Chinese, after that, I can finally decide.

I prefer the question be answered in the language it is written in, and I usually answer based on that too.

I prefer responses in my own language when I have an A1 or A2 level, but above that, I’ll happily accept responses in either language. Like Phil, I usually try to answer questions in the language of the post, though I will sometimes use the person’s native language if I can tell the level of the target language is low or if the question is very complex. Maybe I shouldn’t do that, but I just want to make sure my responses are understood.

I usually prefer answers in my native tongue just for clarity reasons. Sometimes it’s great when the answer is in both languages though!

I generally go by what language they've asked the question in, and respond in the same language (if I know it). That goes for the explanation, but examples will probably need to be in the target language.
