Part 2
Third, journalism experience. To make myself closer to this programme, I tried my best to get more journalism experience. For example, I have an internship in China Daily for more than three months. I chose this newspaper because it is the only national English newspaper, which could provide me with international journalism experience and help me understand O better. It turns out that I did learn a lot in this experience, as you can see in my three English work samples. What I did has been far better than other interns in this newspaper, because I worked very hard with O as a goal. Beside my internship in China Daily, I worked as a journalist and editor in the official media of my university for more than six months and wrote news for my student club. From the effort I made and what I stated in my application reflections, I hope you can feel my strong motivation.
Forth, my university. My university X University is one of the 39 universities of Project 985, which means it is one of the top universities of China. As one of the students of this university, I believe I am competitive.
Five, academic reference and journalistic reference. My two referees know me well and I believe they have carefully been shown you how I fit into this programme in their detailed reference letters.
Sixth, language. My grade of IELTS test is 7. (reading 7.5, listening 7.5, speaking 6, writing 6)
I talked to the Chinese offer holders of O of 2021 to compare our background. I believe my GPA, academic background and professional background are as competitive as theirs.
I know it's said in the email that “due to the limited number of places”, but there must be some concrete aspect that I am not good enough compared with others, which caused me to be rejected. Could you tell me by consulting the admission officers or selecting scoring record? I want to make up for this shortcoming before the next application.
