Hi Sssennnnaa! If you want a language partner I can help you with that. Language partnership is free. You help me with Turkish and I help you with English. I have also taught some languages, but I am not professionally trained as I am a graphic artist primarily. I've been fluent in English since I was a child. Kind regards, Deniz

This really depends on you and the teacher. If you find that you slip into Turkish a lot during the lesson then I would say remove the temptation and choose a non Turkish speaker. (If your goal is to practice your speaking confidence and fluency performance in the lesson) If the teacher can speak Turkish but communicates in English this can be beneficial: - you get the comprehensible input from your teacher - they can notice when and why you are translating too directly from Turkish - helping you spot the differences in the two languages can be useful - they can help you find the right expression for your intent much faster, if that is one of your goals A lot depends on your final goal. If you are hoping for a near native like final goal than building on top of your native language can create problems later. If you are looking to improve quickly and accept that you are aiming to be competent than building on top of your native language makes a lot of sense. All the best!

I think it would be a good idea for you to try a class in English with a teacher who does not know Turkish. You can ask them to speak slowly and to write the words or phrases that you do not understand in the messages so you can google translate them :) Yes, it might be difficult, but if you find a kind and patient teacher it could be a great learning experience! Good luck :)
