Hey iTalki friends!
Learning etymology (the origin of words) is a great way to expand your vocabulary and cultural knowledge.
Can you find any interesting origins for words/phrases in English?
I’ll start us off:
Challenge: Can you find the meaning and origin of ‘the Midas touch’?
Sample sentence: ‘He is such a fantastic businessman. He has the Midas touch’
I’d love to hear what you discover! 😆
