If people lived in a good economic, social, psychological and ecological environment, they would commit less crimes, but I suppose it would be impossible.

Privet Olesya. You are imagining a VERY hypothetical situation (obviously and unfortunately impossible!!!), so we need to use a conditional form. Also, we don't normally use connectors like "and", "but" and "because" at the start of a new sentence. I totally agree with your idea.
