**corrections** Is it okay if I say the following : - I'm going to give you a little dog. - my father gave us a little dog to be more specific after give, do I have to add "to" Is it obligatory? Or both is possible? After give, you do not need to add "to". unless there is a noun after give. For example : I'm going to give her a book I'm going to give a book to her They are giving everyone a free book. They are giving a free book to everyone

My father gave us a little dog. 👍 *My father gave to us a little dog. 👎 As Ampol says: You give +someone +something... or, You give +something +to +someone...

I am not English native speaker but I am learning English and I just want to share my opinion. 1. I am going to give you [sth]. I am going to give [sth] to you. 2. Correct (but a little dog could be replaced to be a tiny dog or a small dog). My father gave [sth] to us.
