Elle: Wow, a historian. That’s amazing. So, what do you like to do on the weekend? Do you have any hobbies?
Waa, rekishika nan desu ne? Sugoi desu ne. Jaa, shuumatsu taitei nani o shimasu ka? Shumi wa nan desu ka?
Kokomi: I like walking, camping and watching movies but usually I’m studying on the weekends. What about you?
Elle: Well, on the weekends at around 9am, I often go to the local café, get a frappe, and study Japanese and chemistry. I like walking too. But I don’t like camping. I’m scared of spiders and snakes.
Jaa, shuumatsu no asa ku-ji goro, yoku kinjo no kafe ni itte furappe o tanomi, nihongo to kagaku no benkyō o shimasu. Watashi mo akurano ga suki desu. Demo, hebi to kumo ga kowai kara, kyanpu wa sukijanai desu.
Elle: I sometimes go to the cinemas too. Last week I watched Mufasa: The Lion King with friends. It was so good.
Watashi mo toki doki eigakan ni ikimasu. Senshuu, tomadachi to Mufasa: Za Raion Kingu o mimashita. Totemo yokatta desu.
Kokomi: Yeah I watched it too and I quite enjoyed it!
Elle: Yeah! What is your favourite movie genre?
Un! Suki na eiga no janru wa nan desu ka?
Kokomi: Oh probably historical dramas
Elle: Me too! What are you doing this Friday? Would you like to go eat lunch and then watch a historical drama movie with me?
Watashi mo desu! Kinyoubi hima desu ka? Issho ni hirugoban no tabete sorekara, rekishi dorama no eiga mi ni ikimasen ka?
Kokomi: Sorry but that doesn’t work for me.
Elle: Oh, no problem. Uhm…
Aa, daijoubu desu yo. Anou…
Kokomi: What about Saturday morning. We could get breakfast and then watch a movie?
