In my humble opinion, personality is mainly determined by the people you are surrounded by. When we are children, we tend to replicate the behavior of our relatives or the people with whom we spend most of our time. That's why I consider having children or being in charge of someone younger a huge responsibility, because, in fact, you are becoming their reference. As we get older (during youth, for instance), it is not unusual for us to change our reference model. Why? Because we want to be noticed by others, we want to stand out. We decide to imitate the behavior of well-known influencers. But here lies a big difference: if we were raised learning what is correct behavior and what is wrong, we will only replicate the influencers' behavior that aligns with our criteria of what is right. However, if we don't take time to teach children good manners, in the future, adults may go against the well-being of society. To sum up, it seems to me that personality is shaped by those closest to us AND, to some extent, by globalization. This is my attempt to practice my English. Please feel free to send me a message so we can talk and practice together! :)
