Do you ever heard this slang?
"Nojo" literally means "disgusting" .
But as a slang, very popular this days, it means "pretty".

I've never heard this one! How interesting that it has two completely different meanings. Thanks for sharing that😊.

That's what's most amazing about languages! It's something alive and we keep making new uses of "old" words. Thanks for sharing this example! I am sure that's very useful for everyone trying to learn Portuguese. And I am proud that Brazilian Portuguese has an incredible variety of slang and expressions which makes the language so rich! Unfortunately, there are a few people who just don't get that and can't see it this way.

Muito interessante! Nice job, Sarah! That's a very popular slang in Brazil nowadays. I don't use it very much, but have definitely heard people (especially women) using this slang many times.
Obrigado pelo post! :D

oh my goodness, it's one of the reasons why one is ashamed of being Brazilian, it's as if the Brazilians were thinking all the time, "how can I make this once so beautiful language into something uglier and uglier to the point no one can withstand it anymore", even the real Portuguese language suffers with this criminal ideology, it sucks, quite frankly
