We can learn much more from our elders. That’s why we need our parents guide us before we turn 18, they are the most important elders in our lives. From this angle, we can tell the important role our elders play in our life. First, they can teach us a positive attitude towards life.I learned this from my grandma, she had six children and brought them up in the countryside, I could imagine there must be lots of hardships to raise six children on a little farm, they must work very hard all the time and stay positive no matter what happened to their lives. Second, our elders can shape our personalities to some extent. For example, my grandpa he liked reading and calligraphy, he was very strict with me and serious about his work, he pursues perfectness on each piece of his craft. He was a really excellent carpenter, he even made a desk and chair for me which accompanied my whole elementary school life, he made many cool stuff and furnitures, he could paint the house and built a house. When he was working, he was very concentrated, which had a huge impact on my work ethics. Third, our elders have their own tactics of dealing with people and life, these are very practical and useful in our daily life. Recently I have been learning from D, who is my father’s age. He impressed me again and again! I really appreciate his values and insights towards people and the world, which is helpful for me to find inner peace and adapt myself to the complicated situations might arise in the future. Overall, I think elders are very wise existence and they shed light on our lives.

Listen to your elders: break up your sentences properly! But anyway, ☺️
