I am improving my English, but a dream? Far from it. Just a goal, like Camilo says. Also I find it a tiny little bit 'boring' since I can see little progress. I am already quite advanced but I will never be as good as a native speaker. So I do not have the feeling I am learning much new stuff, apart from some vocabulary and some advanced grammar stuff like... who/whom, subjunctive forms, which/that, take/bring, fewer/less. That are example of the things I have learnt recently.

I'd much rather learn another language, which I am not familiar with yet. But that is not that interesting for my curriculum, for my employment chances. This I'd find more interesting, because the leap from not knowing to being able to speak a little is much more exciting than perfecting the little errors I still make in my English. Which I do make, let there be no doubt about that.

It's my goal not my dream.

because i believe america is the powerhouse of everything from purely entertainment based fields to hard core scientific fields like medical, space, physics etc.

so i should simply learn the accent of the best place!

Actually I don't know English enough to separate American or British. But I want to learn for my job and most source of knowledge is English. If I know, I can read everything an watch without translation. This would be great.

I could say that's one of my dreams, yes. I also love British English, in fact, it's what we learn at school. But I like a bit more American English, I like the accent and how it sounds. And since I love movies and TV series from United States, I definitely want to learn American English to watch them in original version and enjoy even more. Anyway, I lived in UK some years ago and British English is so cute too.
