ABOUT MY THESIS'S TOPIC

First of all,  hi to all of you

 Guys, this year I have a thesis but I havent find the topic of my thesis yet.It should be related to linguistics and I would like to discover a new, different and strange topic but unfortuntely ı dont have any idea.If you have suggessitions recomendations and ideas, please share with me ASAP. Thanks in advance....... ( NB: MY DEPARTMENT IS ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE.)

I read at the site http://www.lingfil.uu.se/forskning/turkiska-sprak/ that someone is writing a doctoral thesis comparing the use of irony in modern Turkish literature by the three authors Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar, Adalet Ağaoğlu and Orhan Pamuk. You could for instance compare this to how irony is used in English contemporary literature, or compare how irony of the said authors is translated into English and what might be lost in translation.
