Is everyone looking for a date?? I think people who use this web site dont want to be a real language partner.Is everyone just looking for a date on this web site? Am I alone about this topic?

Just to balance out the stats a bit, I am married and most of my students and language partners are married.

Have you tried teaching? It's really difficult. Most people here want to learn languages but few people know how to teach or have enough patience or time.

Some look for a date, some look for language partners, some look for other things (teachers, discussions, notebook corrections, answers to language questions).

I agree that There are many people who are here for other purposes, dating is one of them !

on the other side, all people want to learn even if they are here for learning only or for learning plus something else .

So, choose your language partner clearly .. It's not easy to find your language partner who's similar goals, thoughts, passion and from a suitable time zone ..

I think reading someone's profile and talking with him for some time would help to know his intentions ( not in all cases, absolutely but it help )
