A pick-up line is something that you say to someone so that they become interested in you romantically.

The cheesiest pick-up line that I've ever heard someone actually use is

Has anyone ever told you that you have beautiful eyes?

One famous Russian singer told that to my friend's great grandmother when she was a schoolgirl. He was a friend of her older brother. They met and went to a cafe and when her borther went to get some ice-cream he said:
"My sweet angel! I wonder what you will say when having woken up one morning you will see my profile on your pillow next to you?".

I remember it because for those familiar with older Russian music it is really easy to recognize which singer it was.
P.S. some 110 years ago.
