agreed, both of shantou & chaozhou are renowned for chaozhou cuisine 潮州菜 & gongfu tea 功夫茶 while shantou may be more renowned for its Meat Ball(汕头手打丸). yiwu located in zhejiang province is famous for its small commodity market with attractive prices, but i have never been to it.
"梨华纷纷暮色里" is mixed up Shandong with Shantou. Shantou is in the east of Guangdong province, a port city for business. Warm, winter is short, January is the coldest month, above 5℃.
Place to go:
1. Tropic of cancer symbol tower(北回归线标志塔)
2. Green Bay(青澳湾), in South Island, recline in the Tropic of Cancer, to see the first sunrise in Guangdong.
3. Centerm sculpture(“升腾”雕塑): city landmark.
4. Bay Bridge(海湾大桥)、 Queshi Bridge(礐石大桥)、 People's Square(人民广场)、 Swimming and Diving Hall(游泳跳水馆, the shape is like a sailing boat)
The first two places are in same area, not in city centre.
Famous: Chaozhou Food（潮州菜）, Gongfu Tea（功夫茶） and Shantou Meat Ball(汕头手打丸).
"zhao516" is right, Yiwu is in middle of Zhejiang province, near Shanghai, have a river called Yiwu River.
Place to go:
1. YiWu International Trade City/Mart(义乌国际商贸城), for shopping and business. Modern and huge, you can find any thing you want at there.
2. MeiHu exhibition sports center(梅湖会展体育中心): city landmark.
For little products ,YIWU is very famous.
