what is your view on expand student emrollment?

It's the trend that almost every university are expand student enrollment in the world what cause the decline the quality of education. The reason why they do this is the profit. In resent days, I heard some foreign university expand their international enrollment so they can earn a lot for their high tuition. But the resourcse of the university is limited, so it can't be avoided to harm the benefit of the local student .  That also harm for the international student if they finish the teaching in a short time.

Tell us about what u know about this and what's your view on expand student emrollment?

It annoyed me to see so many half-hearted people at Uni. I'm glad I'm no longer there.

I think people should get a chance to go, but they need to put in the effort to get there.

There are plenty of places online to learn, so nowadays going to Uni is about hopping through the hoops and getting a fancy piece of paper for it.

@Bruce We call this "distance learning" in china.....And i used to experienced it when I am in my high school. I learn a distan learning about math. i can online watch the video that teacher recored before. actually,i don't like it so much, because I easily get random. I would rather a real teacher to teach me. But it dosen't mean there are no advantage in distance learning. It can convey the knowledge without the distance. And it's much cheaper than to study in a real school. People can arrange their time to when to learn without the restrict of stable schedule. So they can flexibility use their time. As long as they finish their homework and pass the exam on line, they can get the degree as others.

Hi  Ale:

I think that education will change.

Computers and Information   are  part of the reason.  Knowledge will cease to be "proprietary".

In other words,  institutions will not "own" knowledge.

For example,  YouTube  has instructional videos on    every imaginable subject, including those taught in colleges and universities.

I think that mankind will eventually,   abandon the idea of "institutional" education  as we know it.

I think that   there will be some credit system, but it will be student initiated, whereby students can  enter into the study of a  subject,  pass tests, and obtain credit.

I think people understand generally that there is a lot of unneccessary   information  in the current public systems.   Websites like this, and computer functions like video chat  will allow people to study many things on their own,  independently of institutions.

If  we observe even the published discussion topics here, you can see that people from all over the world want to initiate their own "system" of   learning. They choose to create small groups or to study  with a friend.  What we see emerging in the world  is "Life---Long---Learning".
