It simply means that we understand the real value of the blessing only when it is gone! That is basically human nature in general! We take things for granted and realise the true worth only when everything is gone.

The minute we think of giving up any relation, think of the reason as to why we held it for so long. Ego is like nails, relationship like fingers, cut nails when it grows not fingers.

I see only one main sense of this song to save and value all that which we have...

Because when we lose one we are unhappy and for most of us the sense of life gets lost at all...
