I think the best way to improve listening skills is to talk with someone, whether it's a friend who is learning with you or someone who knows more English.  This can be in person or via something like Skype.  Also, find something you are interested in and search for it on YouTube.  I like to watch the news, so sometimes I will watch news in other languages to see what I can understand.
