My cat love water, If you open the tap of water she love playing, I also wash her 2 times and she jump for bath for accident like 5 times because she was playing with the water, so I think she like, what she really hate is when we curt her nails for don't be huge she like bite us
My two cats loved playing in rain. The one that's still alive likes playing with the water in her bowl, and she sometimes scratches at the bathroom door when I'm having a shower so she can run in an stare at the water running down the glass. When she was a kitten she fell into a pond while chasing a toad. She was not very happy!
My cats' reactions to having to take a bath are pretty much the same as what you'd expect of a human who's never swam before.
Our other cat was obsessed with rain and especially thunderstorms. Whenever it rained, she desperately wanted to go outside. Whenever it was storming, she'd sit at the door growling and would eventually attack us if we didn't let her outside. It was the most bizarre thing - she was otherwise a very docile cat. She's no longer alive unfortunately, and the first cat I mentioned is currently living with my parents (but I see her whenever I go home).
So they didn't really hate water as much as they hated falling in it.
