I read a discussion started by a korean guy here on the site asking people about what they know about South Korea and the answers he received was interesting to me and that made curious to ask the following questions
what do you people know about Iraq? what is the first thing that come to your mind when hear the word (except Saddam, ISIS and car bombs of course).

i only remember that my first History School book start with a story about Mesopotamia. that it is in a very good place between 2 main rivers and later became a world trade center, the richest on of course. and i only now have realised that is was said about present-day Iraq
A place with the fantastically long and diverse history. Still hope to visit it one day.

and you are right about river Euphrates, it's run through Iraq but it's originating in eastern Turkey.
