Nice expression, "turn up". We don't have it in the U.S. I went to chatGPT to see if I could find a good U.S. equivalent. My first guess was "scoop", but Chat didn't like that suggestion because a "scoop" is more an exclusive than a surprise. It appears that we might not have any equivalent word.
