The computer is the most important invention of the last hundred years. With computers has become a necessary part of daily life, it is an argument that whether computer is the most important invention in the past one hundred years. From my perspective, I agree that the computer is the most significant invention. Firstly, computers have dramatically changed the way of people working and living. It is hard to imagine what if we do not have computer in modern life. From paperwork to engineering design, the functionality of computer can be seen anywhere. In addition, social networking connected people from all over the world together, which can extremely promote the integration of cultures. And there are a lot of applications can improve the quality and efficiency of life, like Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter, etc. Secondly, computers have affected the way of storing information and sharing knowledge, which can accelerate tremendously the progress of civilization of all human. Formerly we only can record thoughts and idea by writing it into papers or something like that, which is not convenient to deliver, save and search. However, the appearance of computers makes this situation totally different. Nowadays, we can put thousands of books and even music and video into an inexpensive and portable hard disk or USB, and it is quite straightforward and easy to search what you want to know though search engine. At the same time, academic research in all kinds of field can be done easily due to the sharing information more quickly. By summarize, I would argue that computers deserved the compliment of the most important invention of the last one hundred years, for its amazing influence which impacts the lifestyle of everyone.
