Possessive Hi, everyone Let’s say you are talking about a magazine. Which of THESE sentences would be right? “Which issue cover did you like most?” or “Which issue’s cover did you like most?” What if I add the word “look”? Should I say “Which issue’s cover look did you like most?” or “Which issue cover did you like the look of most?” or “Which issue cover look did you like most?” Thank you

"Which issue cover did you like the most" - this is fine if your subject/noun is "issue cover" "Which issue's cover did you like the most" - this is also fine. When you would use either depends on personal preference and context. "Which issue's cover.." feels/looks a little overly formal. If you add in "look", none of these are technically incorrect but whether or not your audience understands you is dependent on HOW you say it. Unless this is an academic question, I wouldn't add in "look" - it makes things unnecessarily complicated. Hope this helps!

Assuming you have several issues of the magazine the first sentence is wrong. The second sentence is right.

The 3rd and 5th sentences are wrong. The 4th sentence needs an apostrophe+s ('s) to make the cover belong to the issue.

BUT if you have several cover designs and want to decide which to use on one issue of the magazine then the first sentence is right and the second sentence is wrong.In this case the first sentence would be better as "Which issue cover did you like the most?"
