等等(děngděng) etc 等等(děngděng)， in the beginning of a sentence, most the time means “wait a moment” but when it appears at the end, it means “etc.” 看看(kànkan) means “look around”，but when saying看看再说(kànkanzàishuō)，literally means “wait and see what happens then make decision” , still has “looking around” meaning in it but pretty close to 等等再说((děngděngzàishuō)。Another example: 试试(shìshì) “try something or test something” 等了等(děngleděng)——waiting a little bit， 看了看(kànlekàn) ——looking around a little bit， 试了试(shìleshì) ——try or test something a little bit A了A， applies in most cases when AA is Ok.
