Branding
There are different branding policies which influence the sale of goods or services that companies provide to consumers in the marketplace. Firstly, Individual brands include products and services which are separate from their parent company and have their own individual identity, so the customers do not know which company owns the brand. In addition, a parent company, such as Procter & Gamble, can have numerous individual brands competing within the same market segment for a share of that particular market, giving the parent company a much greater share . Secondly , own –label brands that are owned and marketed by retailers . UK supermarkets use this branding. For example, Tesco/Asda/Sainsburys/Waitrose/Morrisons created a range of own-label brands including everything from chocolate to washing liquids .The aim of this branding is to build customer loyalty .Branding is important and key to the success of companies because consumers .........
