Busy!

Today I was very busy, I had taken care of my mother; she had to taken a medical
examination, but fortunatly all she is ok.. :-) Now I'm going to bed, good night everybody.

When using commas just be sure to leave the space after, and not before the punctuation mark.

Also, when you're writting a sentence like this which uses many commas or joins two phrases together you can also use a semi-hyphen ; in place of a comma or full stop (just don't use it with sentence connecters like 'and', 'but' or 'because' etc).

For example your first sentence would be written in 3 ways.
1 - I had taken care of my mother; she had to take a medical examination 
2 - I had taken care of my mother. She had to take a medical examination 
3 - I had taken care of my mother because she had to take a medical examination
